System requirement details for administrators
In general, the APIS IQ-Software (local) has the following system requirements:
For the server, who should host the license server software, the following system requirements apply:
Single user license (only local)
In addition to the system requirements mentioned above, either a card reader or a free USB port is required.
Network
The network version consists of two components:
The license server software on a Windows Server.
The APIS IQ-Software client on the local workstations. The system requirements listed under "APIS IQ-Software" mentioned above apply here.
A permanent network connection is required for smooth data exchange between client and file server.
Network version with NLX
The NLX extension of the network version enables you to "check out" your "seat" from the license server. This way you can work with your APIS IQ-Software even offline - while your seat is blocked on the server, until you check it in again.
(When working without checking out your seat, a stable network connection is still required.)
The above requirements for the network version are the same for the network version with NLX. The requirements listed under "APIS IQ-Software" apply to the NLX client (=APIS IQ-Software).
Further information on network installation is available in the installation manuals in the download section.
For the APIS server products the following system requirements apply:
CARM-Server
The same requirements apply for the CARM-Server software as for the client version. For the operating system, it does not matter whether it is a Windows client or a Windows server. Permanent network connection is required for the server to be able to communicate with the clients.
