Enhanced function: "Naming patterns for failures"
The previous “Naming patterns for system elements” have been supplemented by a “Naming pattern for failures”, based on the AIAG/VDA 2019 handbook. This add-on enables you to document failures in a more precise and standardized way, allowing you to make your troubleshooting processes even more effective.
Back to the highlightsMore user-friendly design of the AIAG/VDA form
The AIAG/VDA form has been improved as well. When selecting cells that are assigned to certain steps of the method, the corresponding cells of the other steps are highlighted in color to improve clarity and make it easier for you to analyze complex data.
Back to the highlightsImproved management report
In the Management Report, you can display the trend over time for the same key figures is a trend bar chart. The colors of the columns correspond to the colors of the reports or versions to allow for clear and concise visualization.
Back to the highlightsCalculation strategies retriebable separately (FuSa)
In the functional safety area, the calculation strategies to determine the FIT value are stored in the “safetyNorms.ice” file. The example to the right shows where to retrieve the SN29500 calculation strategies.
Back to the highlightsNew import and update options for FMEDA parameters in the form
The FMEDA Form Editor now includes options for importing and updating parameters that are available in the FMEDA form. This function improves the integration of safety-related data and its management.
The following objects and object attributes can be imported and updated:
System element
FIT system element
Source FIT
Self-heating of system element
Source for % value of failure
Function
Failure mode
% value of failure
Base fault [FIT]
Enhanced permissions for variants
Permissions that previously applied to structures only are now available for variants. Unintentional changes to variant-specific attribute values are a thing of the past. Just add content to the variants for which you have the corresponding permission. That increases the security and integrity of data.
Back to the highlightsIntelligent folding of forms
New workstation settings support intelligent folding when opening forms. This means that even large tables and FMEA forms can be opened more efficiently, thus significantly speeding up the workflow.
Back to the highlightsImproved table overview
Column labels and header data labels can be provided with additional notes and color accents. The information contained in the notes is shown as soon as the mouse pointer hovers over the label. As a result, the labels were reduced to a compact short form in some places, while the detailed information has been moved to the notes. In this way, the table is kept clear and informative at the same time.
Back to the highlightsEfficient and secure administration with the CDM Server
The centralized data management simplifies the administration of users and project data. Whether internal user management or single sign-on (SSO) via LDAP, AZURE or locally, we enable secure and uncomplicated login. The check-out of projects makes sure that changes are traceable and prevents unwanted modifications. This allows you to maintain control and transparency over your projects at all times.
