Feature of the Month – April 2023

Folding, Filtering, and Focusing

Folding offers a useful way to selectively show and hide information. You can easily hide individual branches by clicking on the corresponding fold symbol in the tree view. For even more efficient work, you can show or hide entire layers at once (Ctrl + E) and hide unnecessary structure branches. This feature is particularly useful in the form, allowing you to stay organized and work more quickly.

Folding, Filtering, and Focusing

Filtering is another useful function that helps you optimize your information processing. By filtering, you can hide unwanted information and search for desired information. This leads to a reduction of information overload and improved evaluation of information. In addition to System-defined filters that can be used directly, there are context-dependent Auto-filters. Both are provided by the IQ-Software to make filtering even easier. You can also cancel and reactivate the filter at any time with F6. User-defined filters offer a wide range of possibilities. If you are interested in creating your own filters, we recommend participating in an expert workshop. Customers with maintenance receive additional help from our support team.

Focusing (Ctrl + K) is a great function to highlight the object you are working on and hide unnecessary information. This is particularly helpful in large structures, where it can be difficult to keep an overview. Focusing can also be used in the Failure Net Editor to analyze failure effects and failure causes.
